I didn't need this story to tell me that we seem to be turning our kids into snackaholics. Everywhere our kids go there are snacks waiting for them. At a soccer game there are snacks at halftime and snacks after the game. Daycare seems to be one long snackfest. Even the YMCA has a dedicated snack time in Child Watch. Not to mention that we throw snacks at our kids in the car every time we hit the road. Do you think we are oversnacking our kids? Even if the snacks are healthy, are we still giving them too many calories every day? It's probably only one of the reasons, but with obesity rates in children seemingly always on the rise the "oversnacking" has to play a part, right?
