More than 400 male and female athletes and an estimated 10,000 spectators are expected to attend the 2010 NCWA National Collegiate Wrestling Championships taking place at the Hampton University Convocation Center on the campus of Hampton University on March 11-13. Collegiate wrestling is the style of amateur wrestling practiced at most colleges and institutions of higher learning in the United States.
Schools participating in this year’s event include Westchester, Virginia Military Institute, Marion Military Institute, Army, Navy, Air Force, Auburn, Kansas State, Colorado State and the University of Michigan, among others. This year’s host is the Apprentice School, defending NCWA National Champions.
