Leigh attended Trantwood Elementary and Great Neck Middle School before moving to Florida when she was 12.
In all the hours George and Leigh spent together filming the February and March episodes of "Grey's Anatomy," they never once mentioned their ties to Virginia Beach.
They talked about world affairs, Leigh's new hair color (blond) - everything but that, George said. He wasn't aware that Leigh was once a grade-school student in Virginia Beach. She was Chyler Leigh Potts back then.
George has come late to "Grey's Anatomy," cast as an anesthesiologist who romances the divorced Dr. Miranda Bailey, played by Chandra Wilson. Things heat up for the two in Thursday's episode. There's a first kiss.
